That’s all for today. Germany’s defense comes tomorrow.
In brief remarks to reporters following the court session, Nicaragua’s representatives and their Palestinian delegation reiterated the importance of bringing international law to bear on third country’s support for Israel amid its military campaign in Gaza. Germany’s respect for international law and institutions gives the Nicaraguan party hope that, should the judges rule in favor of provisional measures, Germany will follow them.
Germany’s lead counsel, Tania von Uslar-Gleichen, rejected Nicaragua’s allegations of alleged breaches of international obligations, calling its case “biased” and “one-sided.” She took no questions, on the basis of Germany’s turn tomorrow, but said she would consider addressing the media again after.
All these countries like Nicaragua and South Africa with a history of very erratic respect of human rights are making the ICJ a joke. They support a band of fanatical islamo- fascists who kill and rape civilians, and they think that hypocritical moralizing can hide reality. Shame on them
